At Mooneys Landscape and Design, we’re proud to provide innovative garden design ideas that will transform your garden into a unique space that’s tailored to your needs.
Project Overview
Prior to renovation, the majority of the garden area on this property was very sloped and unusable, with the exception of a small space just outside the back of the house.
On the initial visit to discuss the vision for this project, the client wanted to keep some of the character of the old house alongside some new and innovative ideas. There was a very old well that had been found within the garden and the owners wanted to make this a feature within the garden as it was very unique to this property.
After the initial brief from the client, Jason created a 3D design of the space with some ideas to make the garden a very unique and functional space.

Key Features of the Project
Areas paved in Indian grey limestone in 600x900mm format in a third bond layout
Red brick walls built in smokey Jane brick finished with a soldier course to keep the traditional look of the walls.
One wall and steps finished in corten steel crafted locally and brought to site where we fitted them in place to create a wow factor.
Well cover glass in a triple ply 33mm thick with a 75mm black border to hide the steel ring the glass has to sit on for strength.
Gravel is a 12mm quartz which is a great contrast to the grey, reds and rust tones of the other features.
The bench is made from new sleepers, sanded down to bring out the grain with two piers and a floating corner
The Final Result
The finished garden combines a stunning blend of modern innovation with rustic charm. The tiered garden offers a range of functional spaces for entertaining, relaxation and enjoyment on this beautiful property.
